This policy explains what personal data Tweekart collects when you browse, buy, or sell on our platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
We collect the information you give us and the information we observe when you use Tweekart:
- Account details — name, email, phone number, and password.
- Order and delivery details — shipping addresses, items purchased, and order history.
- Payment data — handled by our payment partner (Razorpay); we store only the transaction reference and status, never your full card details.
- Business details for B2B buyers and sellers — GST number, bank account, and KYC documents.
- Usage data — device, browser, IP address, and pages viewed, used to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use it
- To process orders, payments, returns, and refunds.
- To provide seller payouts and agent commission ledgers.
- To verify business accounts and prevent fraud.
- To send transactional messages — order confirmations, receipts, and status updates.
- To improve the storefront and respond to support requests.
4. How long we keep it
We keep order, tax, and financial records for as long as the law requires (typically up to eight years for GST and accounting). Other data is retained only while your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account data from your account settings, or by writing to us. Deleting your account does not remove records we are legally required to retain.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted transport, scoped database access, and row-level security — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we also rely on you to keep your password confidential.
